Nchanga Rangers Vs Mufulira Wanderers

Nchanga Stadium 15:00hrs Nchanga Rangers host Mufulira Wanderers and will be hoping to correct things as the pressure is definitely too much on the team now. Nchanga top of the League at the start of the season lie 15th only better than Nakambala Leopards and have one win to their name. Things are becoming very difficult because of their coach who is busy with the National Team and worse more has been handed another assignment to work with George Lwandamina. For me it’s just the right time to relieve Lwandamina of his duties so he concentrates on his National Team job. I hope by the time Nchanga FC executive decides what to do, it won’t be too late to save this great team from relegation. Nchanga Play Mufulira Wanderers who have failed on three occasions to score while Nchanga has failed on five occasions. Mufulira Wanderers still has work to do if they are to finish in the top eight by the end of Week 15. After this they face Nkana and end with Red Arrows in Week 15. Those won’t be easy games. Maite will look at this game as a spring board to seriously have chances of ending in top eight. Nothing is confirmed yet. If Mufulira Wanderers lose this one while Nkana and Forest Rangers win their games, then it is disaster for Maite as they will drop out of the Top eight for the first time.
I don’t like the way Maite plays when they are over confident and that’s the only advantage that Nchanga Rangers will have in this encounter and am sure it will work out as Nchanga will win.
My Verdict: Nchanga Rangers 1-0 Mufulira Wanderers ________________________________
Green Eagles Vs Power Dynamos

Independence Stadium-Choma 15:00hrs Just to start with statistics, Green Eagles has never beaten Power Dynamos in the League. The two teams have played each other 8 times and Power has drawn 4 and won four. Last season in this fixture, no goal was recorded (0-0) but Power won at home (1-0). Green Eagles is in a more worse situation than last season. They have already lost four but that win against Nchanga Rangers should be something that Power Dynamos should start thinking about as they travel to Choma.
Power Dynamos beat National Assembly via 1-0 penalty in the mid-week and it showed how missing too many games in the league could affect a team. But Power Dynamos is getting back to their form slowly but it’s a pity by the time they play Green Eagles they won’t be to their best still and will again draw in Choma.
My Verdict: Green Eagles 1-1 Power Dynamos _________________________________

Nkana Vs Nakambala Leopards Nkana Stadium 15:00hrs We missed the celebrations of Aggrey Chiyangi in Lusaka when NAPSA spoiled the party with that big win for the relegation bottom club as Aggrey tested defeat for the first time as Nkana coach in just his second game. Last season Nakambala travelled to Nkana and picked three points where Bestone was Shell shocked and it is that result that puts in belief in Nakambala team as they visit that hostile ground once more. That was the only win Nakambala has ever recorded against Nkana FC. The rest are three draws and two loses. Nakambala can get off the bottom of the table should they win this encounter but if that happens they will be hoping Nchanga and NAPSA both lose to Red Arrows and Mufulira Wanderers if they are to have realistic chances of getting off the bottom of the table. For Nkana a win coupled by defeat for Wanderers and GBFC means they can go fifth and am sure they will win this encounter as Nakambala at the moment cannot shock Nkana. Watch out for another jumping celebrations for Aggrey Chiyangi in this encounter.
My Verdict: Nkana 3-0 Nakambala Leopards _________________________________

Red Arrows Vs NAPSA Stars Nkoloma Stadium 15:00hrs Once again, Red Arrows failed to pick maximum points at home against Lusaka Dynamos in the mid-week and the mentioning of that name and you know what it means. The Lusaka Boys in Dynamos are doing a good job in the League so far. The draw was enough to move Red Arrows from 12th to 10th but their efforts are not showing the capacity of the team we know in Red Arrows. NAPSA shocked Nkana last week and that is a big statement for Red Arrows as they square up in Chelstone but the problem is the number of goals they are allowing. NAPSA is the weakest defence as we enter week 13 having allowed 20 goals in 12 games and their scoring is not so inspiring as well with 8, only better than Nakambala who have only scored 5. Playing at Nkoloma will be a bit okay for NAPSA as Red Arrows allows opponents to play their game and fans to enjoy but I think Red Arrows will win this encounter.
My Verdict: Red Arrows 2-1 NAPSA Stars __________________________________

National Assembly Vs Zanaco Woodland Stadium 15:00hrs National Assembly travelled to Ndola to face Forest Rangers and tumbled to a 1-0 loss, they host the league leaders in Zanaco who have the luxury of losing this week and still be on top. Zanaco are the top strikers of the season so far with 21 scored a difference of seven goals with the chasing Zesco. National Assembly are in the relegation zone with seven losses, three wins and two draws. Zanaco is the only team yet to test defeat this season but the number of draws is increasing, they have drawn four times already. This season the gap between these two clubs so far is enormous that’s seventeen points difference and that indication is enough to show you where this encounter will be balancing to. Zanaco have gotten crucial three points away and am so sure they will manage to get these three points with a bit of struggle.
My Verdict: National Assembly 1-2 Zanaco _________________________________

Konkola Blades Vs Green Buffaloes Konkola Stadium 15:00hrs Green Buffaloes have learnt a lot from last season when they were almost fighting relegation alongside Red Arrows. They are doing much better than their cousins in Red Arrows so far this season. Currently positioned at number five is GBFC and Konkola Blades is eleventh and there is no possibility of Blades going above Buffaloes this weekend. There seem to be a similarity with teams in the Super League this season, they allow as many goals as those they score. As at week 12 we have four teams on Zero Goal difference who have conceded as many goals as they have scored. Blades is one of them having allowed 10 goals and scored 10 goals. Others are Mufulira Wanderers, scored 14, allowed 14, Lusaka Dynamos scored 12, allowed 12 and Red Arrows scored 14 and allowed 14. This is evidence of a poor showing defensively among the teams and GBFC can just take advantage of those statistics and punish Blades further.
Am not seeing Blades succumbing to defeat here and I just think Blades will record their fourth win to go to sixteen points and start improving their goal difference.
My Verdict: Konkola Blades 1-0 Green Buffaloes __________________________

Nkwazi Vs Lusaka Dynamos Imboela Stadium 15:00hrs This is a game that characterised division one football last season in the southern region and they meet for the first time in the super league this season. Both teams have not disappointed but Nkwazi is better off, Same points with Zesco on third and pushing seriously for a top eight finish at game fifteen of the season and surely who can doubt that with what we have seen in the Chikwanda drilled team.
For Lusaka Dynamos, it is another surprise team and their seventh position on top of Nkana, Red Arrows and Konkola Blades is not by lucky but the performance that all of us have come to see and appreciate. But the season is long and these two teams should not be carried away as a number of bad results can see them get down the drain and start fighting relegation. Think of Green Eagles and Nchanga Rangers at the start of the season and where they are today. That can happen as the experienced teams come up and start climbing up the table. These two teams have played six times in the super league, Nkwazi winning three and Dynamos winning one. Two were draws, I still don’t see Lusaka Dynamos getting their second win in this encounter. That has to wait, I think Chikwanda once again will want to prevail in this encounter but Lusaka Dynamos will be strong to beat. I think there is too much of shared points written in this fixture.
My Verdict: Nkwazi 2-2 Lusaka Dynamos _____________________________

Zesco United Vs Forest Rangers Levy Mwanawasa Stadium 15:00hrs The first loss of Zesco was at the hands of Nkwazi, straight from division one South and the next game for Zesco is from another division One North entrance. Zesco is having some cold feet all of a sudden and asking for the Power Dynamos game to be postponed is a sure way of showing that the confidence that Zesco started with could be evaporating. They host Forest Rangers, the same situation that they faced Nkwazi and one wonders why they have not asked for time out once again because the circumstances are still the same. Worse more for ZESCO, their coach has now serious commitment with the National Team, good news for George Lwandamina but bad news for Zesco. For me this is the end of ZESCO retaining this title that they won last season and this decision of FAZ and Lwandamina just has put Zesco out of the running to defend this title and pushed Power Dynamos to square it with Zanaco for the title. All this drama starts with a draw against Forest Rangers this Sunday.
My Verdict: Zesco United 0-0 Forest Rangers __________________________________
Lets see what happens after the Games on Sunday!!!
